TEA TROVE

ESTATE ORIGINAL

Tea leaves produced from various sections within a demarcated Tea Estate, are known as Estate Teas. They are processed, graded and bulk-packed with distinctive Invoice numbers, bearing the mark of that particular Estate.

Teas produced in a particular year are divided into four cropping seasons, namely;

‘First Flush’ teas during mid March till the end of April,

‘Second Flush’ teas during the months of May to Mid July,

‘Rain Flush’ teas during mid July till mid October &

‘Autumn Flush’ teas during mid October to end November/mid December

BLACK TEA

Gifted with an inherent flavour and aroma, black tea provides a natural source of antioxidants. It tastes great alone, but can also be imbibed with milk & sugar. Black tea is fully fermented, so it has approximately 20% of the caffeine in a cup of coffee. It helps maintain cholesterol levels and a healthy circulatory system.

GREEN TEA

Light, delicate & refreshing, green teas provide a rich taste coupled with a healthy dose of antioxidants. The exotic flavour excites the taste buds and provides an enjoyable treat.

PACKAGED TEA

Selected Whole Leaf grade teas from the Second Flush of Sourenee Tea Estate, produced under Bio-Organic process, are packed under strict supervision, quality control & hygienic conditions conditions, into foil liners to ensure that they retain their quality over longer period of storage.

The quality Bio-Organic Whole Leaf grades in their individual foil liners, in variants of Black & Greenteas, are further packed in attractively designed ‘Top-Lid’ cardboard cartons and available in unit packs of 100 and 250 gm.

TEA BAGS

Selected Fanning grade teas from the Second Flush of Sourenee Tea Estate are packed into Tea Bags and wrapped in individual Envelopes (sachets) to ensure that they retain their quality over longer period of storage and for the convenience of serving in hospitality sectors.

The quality Bio-Organic Pure Darjeeling enveloped Tea Bags, in variants of Black & Green teas, are further packaged in attractively designed cardboard cartons. They’re available in unit packs of 25 and 100 Tea bags.

SPECIALTY TEAS

BLACK BLOSSOM

These teas are made from the two leaves and a bud selectively plucked by the skilled labours from Clonal bushes in the sections about 5000 ft elevation. They are then hand rolled by specially trained ladies into the well twisted wiry form of long leaf rare Darjeeling teas.

SILVER GREEN

This unique tea is made from the two leaves and a bud selectively plucked by skilled labourers during the early morning from Clonal bushes in the North & East sections of the estate. They are then processed as like the normal green teas and hand rolled by specially trained ladies into the well twisted and wiry form of rare long leaf Darjeeling teas.

OOLONG TEA

The process of producing Oolong Teas begins with specially plucked two leaves and a bud, generally early in the morning. The leaves are sun dried and subjected to prolonged oxidation. They are then hand rolled into well twisted and wiry form of long leaf Darjeeling teas.
